Reception

Art Reception: "Remembrance" by Diana Liu Benet
Thu Jul 6, 6:00pm to 8:00pm |
Founders Room

I was born in central China, grew up in Taiwan. I am the youngest of 4 children. Both my parents were artists, my father being an internationally known watercolorist. From my earliest days, they provided me with a keen appreciation of art.

I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, majored in illustration and design. I have had a long and rewarding career as a product designer in gifts, toys, serve-ware and home décor fields as well as an illustrator. Now I am semi-retired from commercial work, I paint all the time and love it. I am exploring different methods, materials, styles as well as subject matter. I mainly paint with oil, either on canvas, linen, panel or marble dust gesso panel. I also enjoy drawing a lot. Drawing with charcoal reminds me of writing Chinese calligraphy."
