Blue Mind: Interactions with Richardson Bay | Artwork by Jennifer Fearon

Founders Room

Jennifer, a Belvedere resident, is showing works that depict Richardson Bay in all its beauty and drama at different times of the day and different times of the year.

The oil paintings depict the interaction of light, water and atmosphere in a way that calls attention to its ephemeral nature.

She is also showing original monoprints that are  abstract references to the experience of living near the Bay.

Blue Mind refers to the positive effect that being in or near the water has on our mental and physical well-being.  It is the subject and title of a recent book by J. Wallace Nichols, PhD.

The exhibit runs from April 24 through May 17 and can be seen during library open hours when the room is not in use.
