Currier & Ives described themselves as "Publishers of Cheap and Popular Prints," issuing over 7,500 images between 1840 and 1890.

This exhibit of hand-colored lithographs pulled from stone shows how Currier & Ives reflected the 19th century American experience - from manners, morals and entertainent to westward expansion and the Civil War.

The exhibit can be seen during Library open hours when the room is not in use.
