Susan Norton will present an illustrated talk on how the famous lithographers chronicled the American experience between 1840 and 1890.

Currier & Ives described themselves as "Publishers of Cheap and Popular Prints," issuing over 7,500 images during this period.

The exhibit of hand-colored lithographs pulled from stone shows how Currier & Ives reflected the 19th century American experience - from manners, morals and entertainent to westward expansion and the Civil War.
