Amid two years of record setting wildfires surrounding the Belvedere/Tiburon Peninsula, the specter of floods reappearing after an extended drought, and the ever present possibility of a devastating region wide earthquake there is increasing concern regarding our preparedness.

What should we do, where should we go? Are we really prepared or are we just kidding ourselves?

Thomas Cromwell, a local physician, will explore some of those questions. He has been involved in disaster preparedness and response locally, in the county and state, and nationally responding to hurricanes and earthquakes.

He chairs the Belvedere/Tiburon Disaster Council, and has been instrumental in development of the Get Ready program and the Belvedere Block Captain Program.
