Of the Sea tells the story of 5 California fisherman and presents a compelling story of the future of sustainable seafood.

Today, fishing is a rare and challenging way of life - the number of fishing vessels in California has declined from over 6,900 in 1981 to just 1,800 vessels today.

Few California fishing families remain, due to complex regulation, high cost, and competition with cheap farmed and imported seafood. Struggling to revive a fading way of life, fisherman and entreprenuers are creating new models for how to support sustainably produced seafood. [82 minutes]

Doors and concession stand open at 6pm, with the film starting at 6:30pm.
