Whistlestop’s CEO, Joe O’Hehir, will provide a colorful narrative tour covering the history of aging in Marin County from the mid-1950s to present day.

You will learn that Marin was a pioneering community when it came addressing the needs of its aging population and how Marin came to be one of the inaugural participants in the first White House conference on aging in Washington DC.

 


Joe is currently CEO for the Marin Senior Coordinating Council, better known as Whistlestop, a position he has held for the past 10 years.

For the past 20 years Joe has been providing executive leadership to nonprofit organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2006, Joe received the Center for Nonprofit Leadership’s prestigious “Heart of Marin” award for excellence in board leadership.
