Let the Library be your gateway to the Tiburon Peninsula: Belvedere, Tiburon, and Strawberry.
Belvedere and Tiburon are located in southern Marin County, California, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The two abutting communities encompass an area of 4.9 square miles on the Tiburon Peninsula, across the bay from San Francisco, and are noted for scenic vistas and recreational opportunities.
Belvedere
Belvedere, population 2,122 as of 2016, is a small and vibrant city. The median age is 58 years and more than 75% of residents have a bachelor's degree or higher. Belvedere, or "beautiful view," looks at San Francisco and the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, and Sausalito. Its three neighborhood areas are:
- Belvedere Island
- Corinthian Island
- Belvedere Lagoon

Tiburon
The Town of Tiburon has a population of 9,176 as of 2016. The median age of residents is 50 years and 80% of residents have a bachelor's degree or higher. Tiburon, or "shark" from the Spanish, is bordered on the west by the Richardson's Bay and to the south and east by the San Francisco Bay.
The town of Tiburon is a tourist's delight, just a short drive or ferry ride from San Francisco. Things to do and see:
- Eat at great restaurants
- Watch some of the best sailing in the world
- Visit Angel Island State Park, a historic landmark just a short ferry ride away
