Are you noticing signs of memory loss, confusion or frustration in a loved one? Join Dr. Catherine Madison, neurologist with Seniors At Home - back by popular request - for more insights.

Your loved one is starting to show signs of memory loss, confusion, and increased frustration.

With society’s increasing awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, the medical community has shifted toward earlier evaluation of cognitive changes, which has led to a growing recognition of conditions that resemble dementia but whose effects can be reversed with treatment.

Neurologist Catherine Madison M.D. with Seniors At Home will provide a comprehensive presentation about:

  • The definition of dementia and its common causes

  • The normal fears associated with dementia

  • Why it is important to screen

  • Communication challenges

  • The goals of care

Dr. Madison received her M.D. from Saint Louis University and completed residency training in neurology at George Washington University Medical Center. After serving eight years in the Air Force, she returned to California to care for her mother with Alzheimer's disease. This personal family journey deepened her interest in helping others facing a similar life-changing diagnosis. In 2012 she envisioned and developed the Ray Dolby Brain Health Center (RDBHC) at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She is currently the staff neurologist for the Seniors At Home program, a division of Jewish Family and Children’s Services.
