Omnioids: What’s Walking Into Our Homes?

Presented by Bridget Burke

Wed Sep 24, 2025
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Founders Room

In this brand-new class, AI expert Bridget Burke introduces us to the world of home-based Omnioids and the very real tradeoffs we face between convenience and privacy, automation and autonomy.

They play music. They adjust the lights. They vacuum. They talk to our elders. They project movies onto the wall. They listen when we don’t know that they are listening.

Meet the newest generation of smart machines —Omnioids — intelligent, mobile, and GenAI-powered devices that move freely through our homes, sensing everything in their environment. You may already have one and if not, you soon might.

From robot vacuums that map your floorplan to wearable AI glasses that record your life, we’ll explore what’s really “walking through our doors,” what kind of data is being collected (and from whom), and how it may be used in ways we never expected.

This isn’t about fear, it’s about digital awareness and modern self-defense. You’ll leave with five easy actions you can take today to protect your space, your family, and your peace of mind, no tech background required.

Whether you’re curious, cautious, or just keeping up, this is one class you won’t want to miss!
