Founders Room

Join economist Jon Haveman for an expert, nonpartisan discussion of Social Security — breaking down costs, how it works, what’s broken, and potential solutions.

Social Security is one of the most important — and most debated — pillars of the U.S. economy. What role does it play in your financial future, and how sustainable is it? Economist Jon Haveman unpacks the current state of Social Security and why it matters to workers, retirees, and future generations alike.

Learn how Social Security works, where the money comes from, and where it goes. Dive into costs, benefits, and the long-term challenges facing the program — along with potential solutions.

Join Jon Haveman, Ph.D., for an expert, nonpartisan discussion that brings clarity to a complex topic and equips you with the insight needed to better understand one of America’s most consequential public programs.

This event is co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tiburon-Belvedere.
