The number of people donating blood on a regular basis is shrinking, while the need for blood remains constant. New donors are encouraged to join us!
The blood supply must be continually replenished to meet both emergency situations and routine patient needs, and all blood types are needed.
Because blood has a limited shelf life — red blood cells can be stored for up to 42 days — it’s essential that donors consistently help maintain the supply. It’s the blood already on the shelf when an emergency strikes that saves lives.
