Zip Books

Zip Books is a program for requesting books that are not available in MARINet. The item is shipped directly to your residence from Amazon. Once you’re done with the book, simply return it to the Belvedere Tiburon Library.

Looking for a book that isn't available in MARINet? Send us a request, and we'll deliver it to your doorstep via Amazon.

When you've finished reading the book, return it to the Belvedere Tiburon Library with the Amazon receipt either tucked into the book or taped to the cover. This way, staff know that it's a Zip Book.

How it works:

  • Submit a request for a book, large print book, or book on CD using the form below
    (Magazines and textbooks are not eligible.)
  • The item must cost under $50 on Amazon.
  • A librarian will review your request per the library's Collection Development Policy.
  • If approved, the book will be ordered from Amazon and shipped directly to your home.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation with delivery details.

Request Guidelines:

  • You may request one book at a time.
  • You are a resident of 94920.
    Other libraries in Marin participate in Zip Books. If you live outside of 94920, contact your local library to place a request.
  • You can submit a new request once the previous book is returned.

We aim to provide quick access to books not available locally and to build a diverse, community-driven collection.
