In 2018, Creativebug artist Lorene Edwards Forkner began using swatches of watercolor to capture colors found in flowers and other bits gathered from nature.
Her book Color In and Out of The Garden explores the practice and process as a way to slow down and savor the season — a mindful exercise in paying attention, holding memory, and seeing the world with fresh eyes.
